Oh I completely forgot... i should talk about my weekend. On Thurs I left to go to chicago because I had a second interview with Hewitt Associates. Or rather it was my 3rd interview/office visit. I left on thurs and went to stay at my sister's place. I was stuck in traffic for so long, 45 mins or so, just to go 5 miles. And just when I got out past the accident and went about 10 mins I got stuck in some more wonderful traffic for another 40 minutes. Needless to say I arrived an hour after I was suppose to, negating all the risk I took speeding at 85, and was worried that I missed my dinner date with Smita and Yohann. Lucky for me they had waited and I drove myself over to his condo. His condo is so nice, I love it. A little more glamour and it would be the city 'flat' i always pictured me having. But alas, it cost him a fortune to buy that 600 sqft condo. I don't think I want to spend that much.
Well after that we went out and had Maggiano's (spelling?). We had this yummy Brushetta that reminded me of my time in Europe. I really wish I could go back and visit. The last time I had brushetta in europe is when Hendrik and Thomas (switzerland) were visiting Paris. It was really good and we had so much fun that night. Maybe one day we will recreate it.
Right so then on Friday I went to the office visit at Hewitt. I kept thinking I was lost on the drive up there, seeing as how I was looking for 294 and was on 94. I figured that they must meet up at some place, I just hoped it was before the exit I was suppose to take. Anyway, when I told Smita this she treated me like a poor southern idiot who doesn't know how to drive in the city. I do know how to drive in the City, thank you very much. Admitting to being confused doesn't indicate that I wasn't able to think on my own and reason out stuff... I am a very logical person. But regardless, she treated me as this country bumpkin who didn't know how the highway systems worked. Just goes to show that there are some people you should never admit weaknesses too unless you want to suffer through an assault to your intellegence and logic skills.
So anyway later friday night, after a few more traffic jams on 94 and a lot of down time waiting for my sister to get back from med school, I went and saw Harry Potter. IT was AWESOME. I loved the flying car and the little things about the movie that made me love the characters that much more. I was a huge fan of the fact that the movie moved right along with no dragging points. There was never a time where we were like 'come on already'... rather at the end I was like 'wow, I thought only an hour and 45 mins had passed'. But anyway... it was a good time. We went to the midnight show, so that was fun. All adults, who still screamed and gasped as if they were children. Good time...
So then on Sat. I went looking at apartments in chicago. Wow are they expensive. Some were 1250 a month, others were 975. Regardless, a lot less than they are here. And to think I used to complain about 320. I totally fell in love with this one apt though. It would be about 1100 when all is said and done. But it has an amazing view of the lake and Lakeshore Drive. Its a two bedroom, so I would need a roomie. I already know who I want to live with, hopefully they get something and it all comes together. Otherwise I will have to try something else.
Well later Sat. night I did something super cool... I went to a John mayer contest... Hold on, its 11:11... gotta make my wish. Okay, all done with the standard wish. So what was I saying, Ah... yes, the concert. I really liked it and John Mayer was so awesome. His voice and style were great. He proved he could play his guitar multiple times. I went with a bunch of people, so that was fun. Anjali came along too, which I was happy about. I was staying with her and was feeling so guilty about leaving her out. So anyway.. this post is sooooo long. I should stop. My weekend didn't stop though... so real quick..
after the concert me and anj went back to Smita's place and watched a Hindi movie. It was stupid yet funny. Your typical 80's indian film. So anyway, then on Sunday we woke up super late (we were up till 4:30 easily) and rushed back to anj's. Where I quickly showered, ate, and then took her to the grocery store. Afterwards I raced home at about 85... good thing no cops stopped me. IT was gloomy the whole way down until about sunset [oh yeah, on sat. it started to snow in Chicago :) ] when the sky seemed to rip open to let the fading sun's rays touch the earth in light pink, gold, and deep red streams. It was so pretty, I kept wishing I had a camera. If I had one I would have stopped on the shoulder for a few quick clicks... hee hee... probably another cop would have shook his head and said 'lady, next time.. use your head'... another long story that I will spare y'all of for now...

So I still haven't managed to get my page the way I want it... But I might as well start writing on it, it'll all transfer over when I get it right. So today was another Monday, painful and forceful productivity. I have a group project due on weds... of course we just did the bulk of the research today... okay all of our research today... and then we wrote the paper in two hours. Some things just never change. Anyway.. then I came home and decided to take a shower. When I got done I thought my hair was flat on the sides, which in turn made me look like a boy. So I got out a trusty pair of scissors and went at it. I had only planned on taking a few snips and bits here and there... but I managed to cut off almost 2 inches from the sides. I just hope it looks okay when I dry it straight. Right now it is straight but I have it flipped out in a funky style, which looks real cute ( I took a picture). It'll hopefully look just as cute when its completely straight and curled inward. Anyway, I know most people would think I am crazy and a risk taker since I cut my own hair... but its just hair, at least that is what I always say...
Right, its late and I should go nighty night.
