EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I just realized that something posted though I didn't mean for it to post. Maybe no one has seen it yet... I can hope. So I'm going to erase it and hope for the best. Hee hee... Don't you hate it when people figure out things sooner than they are suppose to find out?

Okay, today was a waste of time at work. Our trainer called in sick. Leaving us with nothing to do for the day but twidle our thumbs and hope that the next time we checked the clock it would say 5:00. Of course we ended up chatting all day and cracking ourselves up. Then there was lunch were we spent time scoping out all the hot guys that were eating as well. And then we chatted with some of the long time workers. One even said that given my attractiveness I would be a well liked manager. And he wasn't saying it to be flattering but rather as a commentary on the workers. I just sat there and was like 'Okay, so what am I suppose to do about this?' I don't want to be percieved as someone who has to rely on their appearance to get things done. I think I have a lot more going for me and those traits will demand the respect I need. The guy who said it though was harmless and really probably meant it as a good thing. But I am more independent and feministic in some ways than he realizes.
But anyway, aside from this everything else is good. I have an office, or rather a big cube. I got a laptop with ethernet and all the other goodies... its brand new and all mine! Hee Hee... I'm such a dork. But I felt special getting one adn then carrying it to my subsequent meetings... So anyway. Today, since we didn't have anything to do we tried to take this online course that is offered by my bank. That was a fiasco. I became the group leader calling and organizing software and tech support. Then I was talking to our manager setting up next week's sessions so that we could fit in a few things that didn't get done because of tech stuff. How do I always manage to become the organizer? I guess I am meant to be there, it seems that is always where I end up! :) Good thing I enjoy it and don't have a problem with the responsibility.
So anyway, my sister returned from India on Tuesday. I can't wait to see her and hear her stories. She is a great story teller so I am sure she will have me laughing my head off. I also want to see what she brought me. Is that bad? Wanting to see the presents as much as seeing her? I don't know. Though I should that getting stuff from India is quite special. Especially since none of us have been there in 11 years. It is so fun to actually choose your own stuff. So this time I haven't chosen it, but at least it is people who really know me and would know what I would like and that suits my personality. ANyway, its 8:30 and I am pooped. Working, even if you don't do anything, is draining. Hopefully I get used to this soon.

Okay, now I know some of my critics out there are thinking 'If you had all night... where is the blog?' Well frankly I did write stuff. I just didn't publish it. I know, I know... where is the fun in that. But here is the thing... I was sick so the whole post is kinda blabby and what not. And then I decided that parts of it I was not comfortable sharing. Now before someone's curiousity gets the better of them, it was nothing interesting. Well, here is part of it...

Its 10:30 pm and I am incredibly tired. Not to mention I am fighting a severe case of conjestion and a cold. What a way to start my first week at work! Everytime I tried not to let it get in the way, and it really didn't... but at times I could feel my chest constricting and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I was in a meeting with the one of my company's top level chief and all I could think about was how stuffed my head was, hence the difficulty in hearing and my total lack of concentration. After a while I felt as if I wasn't listening, just going through the motions of it. Hee hee... oh well. That was one of the best 'networking' conversations I had so maybe the whole cold thing works in my favor. Have you ever noticed that when you are sick, have a headache, or just feel crappy that's when people seem to pay attention to you. Do you know what I mean? I have gotten 'hit' on more times then I care to remember when I was feeling so crappy that I didn't even care what they were saying or looked like. All I was concerned with was that they were picking the wrong day. But oh well.
See what I mean, nothing too interesting. Just blabbing. So anyway, I am home in Danville for the weekend. I love coming home. My mom had made and left lasagne for us. So on this cold nasty day we baked it and had a good, yummy, warm meal complete with garlic bread and salad. I am stuffed to say the least. And yesterday I came home and took a hour bubble bath in the Jacuzzi... Also a good time. After a 'hard' week at work (okay, time consumming) it was a perfect end to my relaxed saturday night. hee hee... But anyway, today we cleaned the house. I couldn't believe how much my back muscles were resisting. I don't know, this cold has my whole body feeling sore and sluggish. What a way to start your first week of work... though with my luck what else did I expect! hee hee...
Right, so I better get a move on. Maybe do something good with my time... like laundry.
