Its 10:30 pm and I am incredibly tired. Not to mention I am fighting a severe case of conjestion and a cold. What a way to start my first week at work! Everytime I tried not to let it get in the way, and it really didn't... but at times I could feel my chest constricting and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I was in a meeting with the one of my company's top level chief and all I could think about was how stuffed my head was, hence the difficulty in hearing and my total lack of concentration. After a while I felt as if I wasn't listening, just going through the motions of it. Hee hee... oh well. That was one of the best 'networking' conversations I had so maybe the whole cold thing works in my favor. Have you ever noticed that when you are sick, have a headache, or just feel crappy that's when people seem to pay attention to you. Do you know what I mean? I have gotten 'hit' on more times then I care to remember when I was feeling so crappy that I didn't even care what they were saying or looked like. All I was concerned with was that they were picking the wrong day. But oh well.

Okay Kate, Calm down. I am posting. I realize its been a while and a lot has happened. So I can do this one of two ways... I am opting for the second (and frankly shorter) way. So in a vain hope to keep this in order I will start from where I left. Christmas was spent and Deepa Aunty's house. It was definitely interesting, but of course a bit strange. We watched Anastacia. I forgot how much I liked that movie. Although once you associate her voice with Meg Ryan you can't stop hearing Meg. That definitely stuck out this time around. So anyway. That night it was reaffirmed that all these guys are still in love with my younger sister and think she is the absolute beauty of the town... interesting. Wonder if she would be so beautiful if they got a taste of her anger. Hee hee... I'm sure she would.

But moving on... My mom's cousin, who happens to be only 8 months older than me, was visiting. He was a bit annoying after a while. He was always trying to tell me where I lacked in comparison to him. He thought it was funny, and at first i was a good sport about it, but then it became more than annoying. Anyway, my mom and sister went to India without me... alas I lost the battle between starting my job and going on vacation. Oh well, c'est la vie.

So that took my to Florida.. of course that was after New years...which was spent at another aunty's place... which was fun. I will just tell you to refer to Kate's Blog... that was pretty detailed. I loved going to MGM that last day. It was so cute to get out pictures taken with the characters, not to mention all the cute photographers who were taking our pictures. Hee hee... one of them was so cute and into Kate. Too bad she wouldn't be there cause she could have found him... and of course he would be perfect for her... they would fall madly in love... and boom... babies! hee hee... When Kate reads this I can just see her laughing and shaking her head... thinking 'Girl, will you ever change?' The answer to that is, "Of course NOT... but you will still like me... " hee hee....

Right, then I flew back and got home at midnight... where I spent 2 hours filling out forms... only to go to sleep, wake-up, and move to Chicago where I would start my new job. I had to be finger printed... two seconds into it the woman said 'You have never done this before'. I couldn't help it... I kept trying to relax but my thumbs were fighting beyond my control. It was kinda funny actually. I had to do 6 'takes' with my right thumb. Hee hee... then came the photo shoot for my ID badge. I am confident that we got a picture awful enough for the badge, if not we may have to do the whole shoot again... hee hee...

Well I am tired of staring at this screen right now. I will be back later to document my weekend and my first week of work (which was good, though quite eye opening).
