Hee hee... wow, there was a lot of pent up frustration in that posting. On a higher note... I found out the start dates for my job. I will be starting on Jan 13th. Hopefully my foray into the world of work will be successful and I will love it. I will be working in Chicago, downtown (yipee), at Bank One. To think, I have interviewed with them multiple times in multiple different stages... and finally here I am, with a job and a start date. :) The only downer is that I won't go to Disney and do the college program. Which means no goofing off and slacking. I guess I will just have to give up my 'dream' (sarcasm) of randomly running into Nsync and setting Kate up with JC (who of course will fall madly in love with her, she's just that kind of girl) and then being able to give a tiny (i'll probably screw it up) speech that goes something like 'and it all started with a little push and teasing'... right... hee hee... Kate will probably laugh and shake her head if she ever read this. Lucky for me I have this nasty reputation of not posting very often... so she just may not catch this! hee hee... am I being evil? No, because I doubt anybody is reading this! :)

But seriously, I did want to go to disney. I had this whole plan of trying to weasel my way into some record company and getting a job with them doing promotions or finance stuff. But alas, I will wait til I get my MBA and hope that something comes my way. But being a banker will be fun too... at least I hope so. I guess that is the hardest part of making this decision. I feel like I am giving up another dream. I already did it once and now I regret it. I just hope I am not doing it again and will have to go through the whole 'if only I had done it'.

So anyway, I post a lot at one time... oh well.

It's snowing. I can't believe it... I love it. Although I should admit that I love rain and the snow is just reminding me of it. The way it falls so gently is quite soothing. So anyway... Its Tuesday, and I am on vacation at home. We are all fighting and getting on each other's nerves... hee hee. Surprise, surprise. But that's my family. We all have opinions about what other family members are suppose to be doing, who we are seeing, and what not. And of course we know every little detail about each other's lives, which at times just get irritating. You see, I like my independence/privacy. I hate people telling me what to do or trying to control my life. Right now my mom keeps telling me to live in a certain neighborhood in Chicago so that I can meet that perfect guy so that she can marry me off to him. I am so sick of her whole little 'talk' that I almost don't want to get married. I mean really, I am not a part of that generation that believes there has to be a man to support you. Now I am not going to spend my whole life single either. I love having someone to talk to, to laugh with, to hug, and who just makes me smile when I think of them. To my mom, I should be looking for someone who will make her look good in front of her croonies and who will take 'care' of me. Right... so anyway. Now that I have a good job, at a prestigous bank, and will be living the 'high' life she can only nag me about getting married.

All of this I blame on one little event. This girl in my town, who I have known since 6th grade, just go engaged this weekend. IT was a cute little party and everyone there was like 'oh, she really did good for herself' or 'She is so lucky'. Granted she is because this guy she is going to marry is great, kind, and funny. But she is 21... have I mentioned I am 22. Right, so my mom is stuck on the fact that here is this 21 yr. old girl marrying this 26 yr. old doctor, who is bound to be successful. And he is from this great family and has charmed the whole town into believing he is this 'god' that we should all aspire to be. I am friends with him, and actually used to tease him about his reputation, but really... there is more than just him in the world. Geez......... Anyway, so I am getting frustrated sitting here listening to my mom's prattle about what I need to do to get a man. My response of 'mom, this is who I am... if they don't like this person how will I ever be happy trying to be someone else' is inadequate for her. BUt I am sure every girl has to deal with some variation of this annoyance. Too bad my mom is so pushy about it. :)
